Greenhills is a small family-run business of 2 families, that began in 2018 under the wings of people with passion and vision for a better future – on a bike!
Greenhills Team are passionate sportspeople, including winter and summer activities. Fueled by their shared adrenaline, discovering hidden places, a love for socialising and good food inspired them to launch Greenhills Bike Tours Slovenia.
Jernej Demšar
Jernej is a co-owner of Greenhills Slovenia.
Jernej’s journey as a professional snowboarder spanned from age 15 to 30, filled with countless travels for competitions, leading to prolonged stays in hotels and dining on hotel meals. Amidst the hectic circuits, the team yearned for the comforting flavours of home-cooked Slovenian food. Despite Slovenia’s underdeveloped position, Jernej recognised Slovenia’s untapped tourism potential. An opportunity to highlight our region’s diverse offerings, such as natural landscapes of mountains, lakes, rivers, and sea, combined with great local food.
Janez Bernik
Janez is a co-owner of Greenhills.
Just like Jernej, Janez is a big sports enthusiast – from snowboarding to biking and kitesurfing, but most of all he is the brains behind the projects, new ideas and Greenhills expansions.
Urša Škornik
Urša is a CRM and Tour guide at Greenhills.
Urša began her worldwide journey at the International School in Vienna (VIS-Austria), where she smoothly transitioned into utilising English and German as common languages. Following her time at VIS, she continued her education in England, studying Sports Management at Loughborough University. Her adventurous spirit eventually drew her back to her roots, and in late 2016, she returned to Slovenia. Jernej’s guidance inspired Urša to try other sports, including mountain biking. Leaving her comfort zone, she entrusted Jernej with exposing her to two new sports: e-MTB and kiteboarding, the latter made possible by Jernej’s co-ownership (with Janez) of Kiteskul, a kite school.

Understanding the importance of firsthand experience, we set out on each chosen route and hike ourselves. As we travelled through Slovenia’s diverse landscapes, we carefully studied every natural wonder and gastronomic gem to ensure they matched our thorough criteria.
