Wow! Slovenia’s scenery is spectacular and Green Hills brought all of this to us. Whether in the foothills of the Julian Alps or near their home town we were treated to a variety of fun experiences. Our rides with Ursa and Jernej were a blast! Both of them were amazing guides, adjusting the pace to our ability on the given day. Ursa re-routed us quickly to cope with a road closure and without any trouble we were back on course. Suggestions offered by Jernej helped one of our less experienced riders cope with new terrain, and an ebike, with confidence.

We are still reveling in the memories from our time spent touring Slovenia on bikes with Ursa and Jernej leading the way! We could not have been happier with our “Greenhills” experience. Finding the area, that my ancestors emigrated from, to be so beautiful and hospitable was another big plus. The frosting on the cake was visiting Bovec – and seeing how much like Red Lodge, Montana, it is – where all of my grandparents settled and raised their families. It became their home away from home.
